Five Newport residents and businesses have been nominated for Edible Rhody's Local Hero Awards.
Edible Rhody has nominated several Newport residents and businesses for the 2012 Local Hero Awards. They have invited readers to choose from their “Best Of” nominations.
Winners will be be announced next March.
Categories include Best Chef/Restaurant, Best Farm/Farmer, Best Food Shop, Best Food/Beverage Artisan, and best Non-profit Food Organization.
