It's the candidate forum hosted by Alliance for a Livable Newport last week during which the candidates answered a variety of questions affecting Newport residents.Featured were Ward 2 candidates Martha Marie Grogan and Lynn Ceglie and Ward 3 candidates John Edwards and Kate Leonard.The forum was moderated by Patty Macleish, a board member of the LEague of Women Voters for both Rhode Island and Newport County. Grab a drink, make some popcorn and settle in. This forum is 12 minutes more than an hour long. The next forum will be held on Oct. 1 featuring at-large City Council candidates. They are: Mike Farley, John Florez, Andy Lavarre, Justin McLaughlin, Jeanne Marie Napolitano, Naomi Neville, and Harry Winthrop. ALN will also be holding forums with the candidates for Newport School Committee (Oct. 15th) and the voting Ballot Issues (Oct. 28th). Locations to be announced.
