Rogers senior Olivia Chaves seems like she does it all.

According to the woman who nominated her as a Patch Whiz Kid, you won't find many young people more talented, accomplished and motivated than Olivia Chaves. Read on to see what makes Olivia so special.

Nominated By: Newport Patch Moms Council member Nikki Vazquez. “Olivia is totally awesome in every way," Vazquez said. "She is like the poster child for best high school student ever."
Accomplishments: Where to begin? Olivia is the captain of the soccer team and a member of the basketball team and the track and field team at Rogers. She is also the vice president of the senior class and the vice president of the National Honor Society. Oliva also plays the guitar in the high school jazz band and is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and Jamestown Community Band. For her senior project, she is putting on a high school-wide talent show to showcase other Rogers students.

Key to Awesomeness: Olivia said competition is what keeps her motivated and she loves to spend time with her family and friends. “I love the opportunity to try and be the best that I can be and it always makes me work harder," she said. "I also like to set goals for myself because when I know what I am trying to achieve, I am more likely to reach that goal. I set goals for myself both athletically and academically."
