New Shoreham Man Charged With Felony Assault And/Or Battery: Cops

NEW SHOREHAM, RI — A New Shoreham man was charged with felony assault and/or battery, police said.

Kerron Evans, 48, was arrested shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday by Rhode Island State Police troopers who were "responding to a disturbance on Weldon's Way" in New Shoreham, the state police said in a media release.

Evans was processed, arraigned and released with a notice to appear in court, according to police.
