2 From Rhode Island Win Large Powerball Lottery Prizes
In Monday's Powerball drawing, RI had winners of $100,000 and $50,000. One ticket was sold in North Kingstown and another in Warwick.

CRANSTON, RI — While the winning $754.6 million Powerball ticket was sold in Washington, a couple of Rhode Islanders still had some luck on their side.
In Monday's Powerball drawing, the Ocean State had winners of $100,000 and $50,000, Rhode Island Lottery officials said.
The $100,000 winning ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball number to win $50,000. Since the winner also purchased the Power Play feature for an additional $1, the prize was doubled. The ticket was sold at Speedway at 1820 Boston Neck Road in North Kingstown and has yet to be claimed.

Lottery officials said the $50,000 winning ticket was claimed by Robert Angilly, Jr. of East Greenwich. He played the numbers from his 17-year-old granddaughter’s birthday at Stop & Shop at 300 Quaker Ln. in Warwick. He and his wife plan to repair their house and take a trip to Hawaii.
Lastly, the $50,000 winning Powerball ticket from the Saturday drawing has been claimed by a North Smithfield man. He said he plays every week using family birthdays for his numbers. He plans to invest the winnings. He purchased his ticket at Great Road Li’l General at 659 Great Road in North Smithfield.
