Annual Pajama Party in Wickford Benefits Needy Kids

The 18th annual pajama party at Beauty and the Bath in Wickford Village is Wednesday, Dec. 3, and once again, the the store is hoping to collect many new children’s pajamas and books for local kids who need them this time of year.

Pajama attire is optional at this pajama party, which offers ”famous grown up hot cocoa,” food from Wickford eateries, raffle prizes from area stores and a 20 percent storewide discount and more.

Just bring a new set of pajamas and book from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the store to take part in the festivities.

Beauty and the Bath owner Lori Lyons has been collecting pajamas and books for needy since 1997 because the ritual of having a new pair of pajamas and a book to read at night is so important. The holiday season is a time of year that most people think about donating coats or mittens, but might not think about pajamas.
