'Biggest Music Festival in Northeast' Planned for Quonset Next Summer
"America Rocks" could bring Metallica, Foo Fighters, the Black Keys and others for a two-day festival next June.
A Las Vegas-based promotion company is planning to launch a two-day music festival in Quonset next June that could bring acts like Metallica, Foo Fighters, the Black Keys and other headliners.
Evil Vixen Promotion claims that the festival, dubbed “America Rocks” will be “the largest music festival of its kind in the entire Northeast / New England region.”
The final lineup is reportedly set to be announced in January. Some of the above-mentioned acts have not yet signed on but negotiations are ongoing, according to Thomas Boucher, founder of Evil Vixen Promotion.

In marketing materials, Evil Vixen Promotion said the central theme of “ARNE2016 will be the celebration of American pride, diversity and culture.”
The promises for a major music festival in Quonset might bring back memories of the once-mighty Lollapalooza festivals held there in the 1990s.
Boucher, in an interview with Vanyaland, said his company is “working on a strategic partnership with AEG Live relative to the artist roster” and the final roster will “be a monster!”
