Blizzard Brings Trash, Tax Delays in North Kingstown
Be ready to get your carts out on a different day. And you have more time to make a tax payment.

North Kingstown residents digging out from the blizzard Wednesday should save a little extra strength to carve out space for the trash and recycling bins — the town is hoping to get caught up with extra pickups over the weekend.
Here’s the plan:
Residents who normally have their trash picked up on Tuesdays should be prepared to have their trash and recycling collected on Thursday.

Waste Haulers will not return to collect a missed pickup. And the transfer station on Devils Foot Road is open for disposal of recyclables at 345 Devils Foot Road.
Meanwhile, the town has pushed the due date for tax payments back by a week. The original Jan. 31 deadline is now Feb. 6.
Residents are also asked to help the Fire and Water Departments by shoveling out nearby hydrants.
