"Bob the Barber," Robert F. Sciola, Dies at 68
Sciola was active in the North Kingstown High School athletic program for years.

Robert F.Sciola, “Bob the Barber”, 68 passed away May 2, 2015.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara A. (Deming) Sciola.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Albert L. and Phyllis M. (Baldino) Sciola. Mr. Sciola was the owner and operator of the former Bob’s Village Barber Shop in North Kingstown and was a US Navy Vietnam War Veteran.

Since the late 70’s he was active in North Kingstown High School Athletics, having worked as a radio announcer, a videographer and official score keeper and was inducted into the North Kingstown High School Hall of Fame in 2009. He was also an active member of the VFW Post #152 and a communicant of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wickford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters, Victoria F. Sciola and Shawna A. Arnold; a granddaughter, Madison B. Gonya and his brother, Richard A. Sciola.

His Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 7th at 11:30AM at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours: Wednesday, May 6th 4-8pm. In lie of flowers donations may be made to North Kingstown High School Athletics
