The Jamestown Tick Task Force is pleased to present a program at the Jamestown Philomenanian Library with Dr. Joseph England on June 10th, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, entitled Tick Talk: Beyond Lyme Disease.  April to October is the most active season for Deer and Lone Star ticks. However, ticks are active all year. Different tick species have different months when they are most active. Each species is capable of transmitting a variety of tick-borne illnesses. Dr. England, a well-known longtime family practice physician on Jamestown, has treated many patients with tick-borne illness during his long career in family medicine. He will present an overview of the tick problems in Jamestown and offer common sense insights on signs and symptoms of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases and methods of prevention. You won’t want to miss this informative free talk and learn how to stay safe and tick-free this summer!
