It’s Election time again, and to most people that means going to the polls to cast a vote. However, Election Day here in North Kingstown has taken on a new meaning. For the past 22 years, Election Day has been a time when all voters can, in a very direct way, help their neighbors.
For the 12th time, the NK Food Pantry is sponsoring a “Food Drive” on Tuesday, November 8th. There’s no address to remember, no checks to send and no 800 number to call.

Just bring any non-perishable food items, soaps, detergents, paper products or cleaning supplies to your local polling place and deposit it in the container provided. The NK Food Pantry will then distribute these items to needy families in the North Kingstown area. Everything that is collected stays right here in our neighborhoods, helping friends.
There’s a lot to remember on Election Day about who and what to vote for. But please, take an extra minute to bring items to the polls. Your neighbors will thank you!
