No One Hurt In Hazmat At Electric Boat: Company
Multiple news sources reported a hazardous materials investigation at Electric Boat in Quonset.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Electric Boat has issued a statement about Wednesday's hazardous materials response at its Quonset Point facility. Dan Barrett, spokesman, said it was considered a minor incident. No one was hurt, he said.
"At about 2:30 p.m., at the GDEB facility in Quonset Point, a small area of a warehouse was evacuated as a precautionary measure after a barrel containing material used in the etching process was observed to be smoking. As safety of employees and our neighboring community are of the highest priority, proper HAZMAT procedures were followed in coordination with local officials.
"The incident was considered minor and is being resolved. No injuries were reported."
