Enjoy an evening of live music with an ice cream social, and it's all free
On July 8, the Lafayette Band will perform a concert at St. John the Divine in Saunderstown, and that's not all
The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will perform a free outdoor concert on Wed., July 8, at 7 p.m. at St. John the Divine on Church Way, Saunderstown. The program will feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more. A complimentary ice cream social will follow the performance.
Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In the event of inclement weather, please check online for updates at lafayettebandri.org or the band's Facebook page, facebook.com/LafayetteBand.RI.
The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more than 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
