Enjoy Free Lafayette Band Concert and Ice Cream Social, July 11
Event at St. John the Divine, Church Way, Saunderstown

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will present a free outdoor concert on Wed., July 11, at 7 p.m. at St. John the Divine, Church Way, Saunderstown. An ice cream social will follow the performance. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Rain location is Church of Ascension, Wakefield.
Led by conductor Bethany Clarke Bromley, the band is performing free concerts each Wednesday this summer, through August 1. Remaining concerts will take place at the Lafayette Band Stand at North Kingstown Town Beach.
The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 130 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
