5th Annual Post High School Planning Event

The North Kingstown Guidance Department proudly invites high school aged students and their parents to attend our 5th Annual Post High School Planning Night.  This is an opportunity for high school students of all ages to begin their planning process for life after high school.  There will be a large scale "fair" in the Lenore Cranston Gymnasium of over 60 different colleges, military branches, an NCAA compliance officer, vocational outlets, and community professionals. In addition, WayToGoRI will hold 3 mini presentations to show NK parents how we are using their free web-based program to develop student's Individualized Learning Program (ILP). This evening also serves to be the "Official Kick-Off" for junior students and parents as they begin the college application journey.  Guidance Counselors will begin with a presentation about where students should be, and what steps need to be taken in the next six months to prepare for the application process. This session will be followed by a representative from College Planning Center.  The CPP is a free and valuable resource to help with navigating the financial aid process.
