Free Disposal of Worn, Unserviceable U.S. Flags

North Kingstown VFW Post 152 is providing free disposal of worn and unserviceable U.S. Flags. 

A proper flag ceremony and disposal will be performed by VFW Members as per flag code on June 14, at 4:30 p.m. at Cold Spring Beach Center/Community Center parking lot area.

Please drop off unserviceable U.S. Flags to the North Kingstown Senior Center, Attention: “VFW Post 152.”

The U.S. Flag Code states, “The flag, when it is in such a condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”
