Goat Milking Demo by The Reynolds Barn @ the Mount Hope Farmers Market!

Launching a series of summer events & activities at the Mount Hope Farmers Market, there will be a Goat Milking Demonstration at the Mount Hope Farmers Market on Saturday, July 14th at 10:30 am.  The Farmers Market takes place on the Mount Hope Farm at 250 Metacom Ave in Bristol, and is free and open to the public.

The Reynolds Barn Goat Dairy, of North Kingstown, RI, has been a regular vendor at the Mount Hope Market since it started in November, 2011, and their baby goats have been a fixture at the outdoor market all this spring and summer--proving to be a highlight for market-goers of all ages!

On July 14th the Reynolds family will be offering a demonstration & explanation at the market of just how their goats are hand-milked; the first step in producing the final products of cheeses and soaps.  This is a great learning opportunity for children and adults--the chance to see firsthand where their food comes from!
