Places, Memories, Stories & Dreams: The Gifts of Inspiration

Loren Spears (Narragansett Tribe), Tomaquag Museum's Executive Director will present a program about Narragansett life as seen through the eyes of an Elder.

The film, Places, Memories, Stories & Dreams: The Gifts of Inspiration, has six short stories and historical recollections by Paulla Dove Jennings, nationally known Narragansett-Niantic storyteller. The Tomaquag Museum film, which was funded by the National Museum of the American Indian, was created by Jerred "Swift Cloud" Best, a Narragansett filmmaker. It will be viewed in two parts with a question and answer period after each part to promote dialogue regarding Indigenous history and culture.
