Michaela Galvin from the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office will host an educational presentation. Topics of discussion will include:
- telemarketing fraud,
- charitable solicitations,
- advance-fee scams,
- identity theft
- bogus check schemes
The goals of the presentation are to inform seniors of the new trends being used, teach them how to avoid becoming the next victim and encourage them to report any instances of scam or fraud to the appropriate agencies. Refreshments will be served.Â
