Resume writing and Interviewing workshops

The Friends of the Jamestown Library are pleased to present a two part program on resume writing and interviewing with Master Career Development Professional, Patrick Lennahan.   These workshops will be appropriate for anyone in or preparing for the job market, including current college students, recent graduates, and adults at any career stage.  The programs will be on Tuesday, May 31 and June 7 at 7pm in the library meeting hall.

 

Patrick Lennahan has more than 30 years of experience in career-related counseling and consulting.  His education includes doctoral studies in counseling at Cornell University and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University.  He is recognized professionally as a Master Career Development Professional and as a Global Career Development Facilitator.  He is currently a career counselor in private practice and on staff at the University of Rhode Island, and is an adjunct professor at Salve Regina University in Newport, where he teaches the course in Career Counseling in the graduate studies program in Holistic Counseling.  In addition, he serves as associate editor of Career Convergence, the monthly web magazine of the National Career Development Association.

Mr. Lennahan specializes in providing job search assistance to recent college graduates and adults in career transitions, as well as expertise in occupational and personality assessment for the job search.  He has served as director of career services at Marist College, the State University of New York in Plattsburgh, and Roger Williams University, and held staff appointments at Cornell University, Brown University, and Bryant University.  He has served as an organizational consultant and trainer and as a media expert on career and employment issues, being quoted by writers for The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Time, Newsweek, and many other media sources.  His private practice office is located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
