The Wickford Art Association is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of its Annual Wickford Art Festival this weekend in historic Wickford Village at Main and Brown Streets.
As in years past the Art Festival is a free event and is open to all. The event features more than two hundred artists and their pieces of original works on display including fine art & hand pulled prints, photography, and three-dimensional, non-funtional sculpture. There will also be food prepared by local church and civic groups as well as entertainment along the Festival route.
The Wickford Art Association, a non-profit group of more than 400 artists and individuals who are passionate about fine art, is the producer of the Festival. This event supports the Association’s scholarships to talented students interested in furthering their studies in art as well as exhibits in their gallery throughout the year.
