Writing Your Family Stories: A Two-Part Writing Workshop

Join us at the as we welcome Sarah Merrill of Merrill Memoirs.  Sarah works with individuals and families to preserve their life stories by preparing digital recordings and creating tribute books for special occasions.

In this first workshop Sarah will start by facilitating discussion of the motivations, benefits and risks of family storytelling. She will guide participants in some brief writing exercises to provide inspiration and allow them to leave the session with concrete writing exercises to help them get started.

The second session will include discussion of the exercises completed, more in-class exercises, and information on how to organize stories and memoirs into lasting keepsakes.
