Exeter Fatal Accident: State Police Seek Witnesses
A woman pedestrian died after a hit-and-run crash on South Road in Exeter.

EXETER, RI — A 27-year-old Exeter woman was killed on South Road after a hit-and-run accident, state police said. Sarah Balmforth was on foot sometime between 9 p.m. Monday, July 3 and 6 a.m. on July 4. The authorities are asking for the public's help finding the driver and the car.
According to the press release, a vehicle "wanted in connection with the crash has been identified as a late-model Jeep Wrangler between the years of 1997 and 2006. The Jeep should have front passenger-side damage, specifically missing or damaged light fixtures."
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information on the Jeep is asked to contact Lieutenant Robert A. Creamer at 401-444-1046.
