An Exhibit Kermit The Frog Would Applaud
The May 25 "Going Green" show is at the Wickford Art Association.

From WAA:The Wickford Art Association (WAA) is presenting “Going Green”, a fine art exhibit exploring the color green, the rebirth of our earth’s landscape and the environment, including recycling, reusing and repurposing.
The open juried show runs from May 25 to June 17, 2018. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
The Call for Art is Tuesday, May 22nd from 11 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday, May 23rd from 11 AM to 7 PM and Thursday, May 24th from 11 AM to 3 PM. Artists may refer to our website for submission guidelines and entry fees. Show registration is open to artists in any fine art medium.

The juror is Tom Deininger, from Bristol, RI a contemporary artist and environmentalist who is known for his abstract paintings and large found and recycled object artworks.
The “Going Green” opening reception is on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 36 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI. Mr. Deininger will present the awards with cash prizes at 7:00 PM.

The Wickford Art Association is a non-profit organization with over 450 members from Rhode Island and New England. The association hosts art shows and classes in its gallery at 36 Beach Street in North Kingstown, and has produced the Wickford Art Festival every July since 1962. Wickford Art Association is dedicated to educating, encouraging and inspiring artists and art lovers throughout the community.
