Fatal Motorcycle Crash In NK On Thursday
Harry J. Whitford, 66, of Exeter, died Thursday when his motorcycle went off the road and hit a tree around 9:23 p.m.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — An Exeter man died Thursday night when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree. According to police Capt. Paul Barry, the accident happened around 9:23 p.m. on Stony Lane near Burnt Cedar Drive. Fire Chief Scott Kettelle said rescue workers found the victim suffering from serious injuries. Harry J. Whitford, 66, was treated at the scene and taken to Kent County Hospital, Barry said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. North Kingstown police continue to investigate the accident.
