And so is the need for foster and adoptive parents.
If you've thought about opening your door — and heart — to a foster child, or if you've contemplated adoption, there's an upcoming information session in North Kingstown that you won't want to miss.
The Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families is hosting a Foster Care and Adoption Information Night on July 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Quidnessett Baptist Church in North Kingstown.
DCYF staff, foster, and adoptive parents will be available to explain the program and answer questions. The Information Night is open to anyone interested in exploring becoming a foster or adoptive parent for children in DCYF care.
The facility is located at 6356 Post Road in North Kingstown.
