Free Concert with Ice Cream? Mark Your Calendar for July 6
St. John the Divine in Saunderstown will host the Lafayette Band of North Kingstown, followed by an ice cream social.
The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will present a free outdoor concert on Wed., July 6, at 7 p.m. at St. John the Divine, Church Way, Saunderstown. The program will feature patriotic and classical music, show tunes, marches and more. An ice cream social will follow the performance. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
