Funeral Thursday for Man Killed in North Kingstown Crash

Jeffrey Golding was a state correctional officer.

A funeral will be held Thursday for Jeffrey Golding, the Narragansett man killed in a crash in North Kingstown Thursday.

Golding, a state correctional officer, was 45 years old.

Authorities said Golding was in a vehicle by himself when he struck two other cars on Route 1.

Jeffrey S. Golding, 45, of Boston Neck Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 28, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Warwick, he was the son of Jean A. (Wessel) Iasimone of West Warwick and the late Walace A. Golding.

A wonderful son, brother and uncle, Jeffrey was a Correctional Officer with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections for over 22 years. He was full of life, fun loving and had a great sense of humor! He loved to travel and enjoyed all sports, especially baseball, football and hockey, as well as kayaking, and biking.

Besides his mother, he leaves a brother, Jay A. Golding of West Warwick; two sisters, Barbara Matteson and her husband Wayne of West Warwick and Lisa Card and her husband Steven of Hopkinton; an uncle, Joe Wilkinson of West Warwick and his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews to whom he was very close with. He was a brother of the late Stephen Golding. He also leaves so many dear friends and he will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

His Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10:00 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm.
