Gridiron Club Salutes High School Football MVPs

The top defensive and offensive players are being honored at a dinner Wednesday night.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI —Football players from 38 of the 42 football playing schools in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League will be honored at a banquet on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 6p.m. at the Quonset 'O' Club in North Kingstown.

Each school was invited to name an offensive and defensive MVP to be honored that night. Smithfield's two choices were both on Offense. As of press time, Hope and Rogers High Schools had not submitted their choices while Mount Pleasant and North Kingstown High opted not to name an MVP from their schools.
