Hussey Bridge in Wickford Reopens This Afternoon, State Transportation Says
This morning, the state Department of Transportation announced the bridge will reopen around 3:30 this afternoon.

NORTH KINGSTOWN – It's three weeks ahead of schedule. The Clarence L. Hussey Memorial Bridge in Wickford will reopen late this afternoon, the state transportation department announced this morning.
The bridge was closed Sept. 6 for continuing repairs, but the work is complete. The bridge will open in time for leaf peepers and Trick or Treaters expected this weekend.
It's expected to be open around 3:30 p.m.

The bridge will reopen to both foot and vehicular traffic, the state said.
"The bridge was closed on Sept. 6 for the second of two periods for repairs," the department said. "It remained open during the summer to accommodate beach and event traffic into Wickford."
