Often at times, you have a sinking feeling in the pit of the stomach that something is not right, but you cannot quite figure out what the feeling is all about. You can feel a drift in your relationship, wherein it may seem that your spouse has started keeping distance from you, not willing to spend much time together. The feeling is quite devastating as well as heart-breaking. If you want the relationship to continue, one has to find out if there are good enough reasons to doubt ones partner, or if the feelings are baseless.

Cheating and trust is a sort of an all-or-nothing situation. We always want to be in a secured relationship where we want to bank on our spouses with trust and faith, however often, the loyalty comes into a dilemma in a lot of relationships where the spouse or partner ventures out of the relationship.

The reason for cheating on spouses is quite varied. Disturbance in the marriage could be the primary reason. Boredom could also lead to a similar situation. Sexual dissatisfaction is one of the main reasons towards failed relationships. Lack of emotions towards each other could lead to cheating as well.  At times, what a child sees while growing up could impact his/her married life too.  A relationship must be adequately celebrated if it has to remain alive.

When you notice your spouse is not giving time to the relationship, or when he or she has a new “friend” with who he or she spends more time with, the need for privacy and space suddenly increases. The regular work habits may change; your spouse may start spending more time at work. Spending a lot of time on the computer or the cellphone is another signal to it.

So what is the solution? Well, one might try to be open to experimentation or limit your possessiveness in the relationship. Remember, relationships are all about love, affection, care and understanding. When all attempts to fix the situation, it might be time to take action.
