Jon Land, Best-Selling Author, Coming to Davisville Free Library

Award-winning and prolific Rhode Island writer, Jon Land, is coming to North Kingstown in May.

Land, the author of more than 30 books, will host a reading of his new thriller, Black Scorpion, which came out last month.

The book is resonating with critics and Hollywood. A feature film based on the franchise character Michael Tiranno, the tyrant, “which will be a blended adaptation of Black Scorpion and its predecessor, The Seven Sins,” the library said in a release.

Land will appear at 2 p.m. in the library. on May 9.

Land lives in Providence. He is a Magna cum Laude Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brown University and is Vice President of Marketing of the International Thriller Writers.

There is no fee for this event but space is limited so please call in advance to reserve a seat (884-5524). After the reading, Mr. Land will answer questions and sign copies of his book, which will be available for purchase.
