Lacrosse State Champions!

North Kingstown Youth Lacrosse

June 18, 2017 - The Boys 7/8 Division I team was crowned State Champions today in an epic battle over East Greenwich 11-10. "Calm heads prevailed", said defenseman Dominic Russello, in a game that ended in sudden death overtime. The team played great lacrosse and defended their undefeated title in a true team win. The final play in the game came down to a steal from defenseman, Andrew Walker. Walker passed to middie, Jonathan Sanchez who had an assist to attack, Tanner Wadovick with the game winning goal. Wadovick said, " I was nervous, but I turned around and saw there was a shot. So, I shot for daylight". The NKYL community congratulates the champions on an unbelievable season. Go North!
