Lafayette Band Free Summer Concert Series Begins June 26
Independence Day show with fireworks set for July 3

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will open its 2019 Summer Concert Series on Wed., June 26, with a performance at the North Kingstown Free Library. The musicians are led by Music Director Bethany Clarke Bromley. The series will consist of seven free outdoor concerts, including the band's traditional Independence Day show with fireworks – scheduled this year for July 3 – and a performance with the North Kingstown Community Chorus.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more than 135 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
