Lafayette Band to Perform "Americana Selections" Tonight

Free concert, rain or shine: July 25, 7 p.m. at North Kingstown Town Beach or, if necessary, inside adjacent N.K. Community Center.

"Americana Selections" is the theme of tonight's free concert presented by The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown. Led by conductor Bethany Clarke Bromley, the band will perform a full program of patriotic favorites beginning at 7 p.m. at the Band Shell, North Kingstown Town Beach, off Route 1A, Wickford.

Audience members should bring lawn chairs for seating. In case of rain, the concert will be held inside the N.K. Community Center, also located at the Town Beach.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 130 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island.
