Last Chance: What Will You Do After High School?
NKHS hosts its Post High School Planning Night in the gym Wednesday at 7 p.m.

We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in. Each week North Kingstown Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.
This week: What do you or your children plan to do after high school? Wednesday is as good a time as any to figure it out.
The North Kingstown High School Guidance Department invites high school aged students and their parents to the fifth annual Post High School Planning Night Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Lenore Cranston Gymnasium at the high school, 150 Fairway Drive.

The event is a chance for high school students of all ages to begin planning for life after high school. There will be more than 60 exhibits from colleges, military branches, an NCAA compliance officer, vocational outlets and community professionals ready to help students make their best choices for life after graduation. In addition, WayToGoRI will hold 3 mini presentations to show NK parents how schools develop student's Individualized Learning Program (ILP).
The event marks the "Official Kick-Off" for juniors students and their parents to begin the college application journey. Guidance Counselors will begin with a presentation about where students should be, and what steps need to be taken in the next six months to prepare for the application process.The session will be followed by a representative from College Planning Center. The CPP is a free and valuable resource to help with navigating the financial aid process.
