Local Man Who Worked with Robin Williams: 'Loss Beyond Imagination'

Bob Perlow, a writer, said Williams was a genius.

A Narragansett man who worked with Robin Williams mourned the loss of the legendary comedian and actor.

Bob Perlow told NBC 10 Williams was one of a kind. Perlow was a writer and member of the staff on the “Tonight Show.”

“This guy had something that you can’t touch. It was this genius, this energy,” he said. ”He was special. He was a genius. It’s just a loss beyond imagination.”

Williams committed suicide Monday, authorities said. He was 63 years old.

Williams’ spokesperson said he struggled with depression for most of his life.

In Boston, mourners created a makeshift memorial at a bench where Williams sat for a scene during his Oscar-winning performance in “ Good Will Hunting.”
