Medications Stolen During Robbery Of North Kingstown Walgreens
The men commanded a store employee to open the safe and that no one would get hurt. They then filled backpacks with medications and left.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A Walgreens store in North Kingstown was robbed by three men Wednesday morning, according to police.
Police said they were called to the store at 7691 post road at 9:18 a.m. Based on security footage and witness accounts, police learned of three men entered the store and jumped the pharmacy counter.
The men commanded a store employee to open the safe and that no one would get hurt. They then filled backpacks with medications and left. Police said the robbers left in a black Toyota Camry.

No weapons were shown, and no one at the business was injured, according to police.
Police Captain John Urban said he's working to release footage/stills of the suspects to news outlets. The suspects were described as Black, all wearing dark colored clothing, hooded sweatshirts, masks, sunglasses and carrying backpacks.

Later in the day, a similar incident occurred in Groton, Connecticut, including the same suspect and vehicle description, police said.
