Mike Browne, a local sailor and retired tug boat Captain will speak about his life on tug boats.

Wickford Yacht Club invites members and guests to a program featuring Mike Browne.

Come hear Mike’s story of life on and around the water, from the locks of the Champlain Canal, to the oil rigs of the Gulf of Mexico, and ultimately to being the Captain of several tug boats, The Navigator, The Mobil 5, and The Tecumseh. Mike will help us to understand the various types of tug boats, many of which we see on Narragansett Bay. He will also let us know what this great responsibility entails.

The presentation will begin at 7:30pm, (on November 12th) following a meet-and-greet social period starting at 7pm. The program will be at Wickford Yacht Club, 165 Pleasant Street. There is no charge to attend.
