NK Movies on the Beach a Resounding Success

The event sponsor, People's Credit Union, said the event drew about 1,300 people.

About 1,300 people came out to the two North Kingstown Movies on the Beach events hosted by the North Kingstown Chamber Charitable Foundation in August.

People’s Credit Union, a sponsor of the event, said 600 came to see The Lego Movie on Aug. 1 and about 700 came to see Frozen on Aug. 22.

The events sponsored the NK Food Pantry, local scholarship programs and LINKS.

““This was a very well received event. The Committee had as much fun planning and organizing the events as the families and kids did attending it,” said William Sharp from the North Kingstown Chamber Charitable Foundation.

Along with the movies, the events featured food trucks, music and games.
