NK Resident Wins Free Gas For Whole Year
North Kingstown resident Lucy Mainor won free gas for a year.

Everyone has dreamt of not paying for gas for a year at least once in their lifetime. (During these economic times, many have probably dreamt this every time they arrive at the pump.)
One North Kingstown woman will have to dream no more following a very special present this weekend. Lucy Mainor is one of six New England residents to win $2,100 worth of gas cards from Irvingi Oil, after participating in the company's Irving Rewards gas savings program.
“I am just stunned. I appreciate this more than you would ever know,” said Mainor, a long-time customer of the Wickford Service Irving station on Boston Neck Road. “Free gas for a year will help out so much, especially with all the drivers in my family.”

Mainor arrived at her beloved gas station on Friday afternoon, thinking she was one of several finalists for the prize. Little did Mainor know, she was the winner - one of nearly 61,000 who entered to win free gas for a year.
Irving launched its Rewards program for customers on June 1. Irving Rewards allows consumers to save on gas at more than 300 participating Irving locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Every $200 in fuel purchases earns 10 cents off per gallon at the next fill-up. In Rhode Island, customers can save at nine participating Irving locations.

Due to the success of Irving Rewards, the program was extended until December 31, 2011. Customers can keep swiping their cards and saving on gas through the month of December. All rewards are redeemable by January 31, 2012. For more information on Irving Rewards, visit theirving.com/rewards.
