NK's Teacher of the Year: Toni-Annette Silveira

Longtime music teacher and band director Toni-Annette Silveira has been named North Kingstown's 2012 Teacher of the Year.

Silveira has been at NKHS for 17 years, teaching five music classes to more than 200 NKHS students each year. She also leads the high school's award-winning symphonic band and jazz band – programs that have consistently produced All-State and Southern New England Honors Band recipients. Additionally, she conducts for the All-State Jazz program.
