NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI – The state’s Director of Veterans Affairs Kasim J. Yarn will host a town hall-style meeting in North Kingstown on Saturday to hear from veterans and their families on issues of concern to them. Local elected officials and representatives from the Providence VA Medical Center and United Way’s 2-1-1 program will be in attendance as well. The “town hall” is the sixth one in a series of community meetings to be held by Director Yarn throughout the state.

“The RI Office of Veterans Affairs commitment to serving veterans and their families must be unwavering,” said Yarn. “We must have an active presence in all 39 municipalities. To that end, I have already visited the town leaders of all 39 and am now launching the “I Hear You” outreach initiative. Please join us on Saturday in North Kingstown.”
