NKHS Softball Team Trades Softballs for Bingo Cards
NKHS' Fast Pitch Softball Team hits a homerun with their first annual Family Bingo Night.
North Kingstown High School's girls fastpitch softball team traded in softballs and gloves for bingo cards and baked goods on Friday night for their first annual Family Bingo Night.
The cafeteria was packed full of eager bingo players hoping to win one of the many prizes up for grabs. Prizes varied from gift certificates to scratch tickets to electronics for adults, and from coloring books to lunch boxes for children.
A table overflowing with donated baked goods quickly caught the attention of guests who eagerly bought their favorite treats.

Guests had a blast as the softball team led them through game after game of bingo, varying it up a bit each round. After playing a round of classic bingo, the real challenges began with "three layer cake" bingo where filling three vertical or three horizontal rows is needed to win, and "B.O." bingo where guests must fill the "B" and "O" rows and announce that they have B.O.
All proceeds from the event benefit the softball team as they enter into their 2011 season.
