NK's DeNicola Wins Prestigious Award for Academic Achievement at Providence College

DeNicola received a master's degree in business administration in May.

Ted DeNicola ’11, a resident of North Kingstown, R.I., was recently named the 2014 “Outstanding Working Professional MBA Student” by Providence College School of Business (PCSB). DeNicola received a master’s degree in business administration in May. PCSB is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

In presenting the award to DeNicola at the Celebration of Academic Excellence & Innovation reception, Jackie Elcik, PCSB assistant dean of assessment, graduate programs, and student engagement, said: “This award is given to a part-time student who demonstrates academic excellence, initiative, commitment to learning, and is engaged in the classroom, as well as in the MBA community.”

DeNicola received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from PC. Before that, he attended Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, R.I.

He is the son of Ginger and Theodore DeNicola of North Kingstown, and the grandson of Hope Votta of Warwick.

Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. The Catholic, liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 3,900 students and offers degrees in 49 academic majors. Since 1997, Providence College has consistently been ranked among the top five regional universities in the north according to U.S. News’ America’s Best Colleges.
