The North Kingstown Community Chorus welcomes its new director, Heather Skidds

OUR NEW DIRECTOR: Heather Skidds has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY where she studied voice and music education, and a Master of Arts in Liturgical Music from St. John's University in Collegeville, MN where she studied voice, choral conducting and organ. Heather currently serves as the Director of Music and Organist at St. Gregory the Great Church in Warwick, RI and is the owner and licensed educator of Kindermusik with Heather Skidds in Warwick, offering music classes to young children and their caregivers. Heather is also on the board of the Providence Chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. Heather has performed for many years as a church musician, soprano soloist, choir director, pianist, organist and teacher throughout RI, MA, NY and MN. She lives in Exeter with her husband and two children. Heather is very excited to be joining the North Kingstown Community Chorus family!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN THE ADULT CHORUS OR YOUTH CHORUS?

Adult Chorus: First rehearsal is Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. There is a registration and music fee of $50 per person with a discount for additional family members. High school students pay only $25. Subsequent rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Youth Chorus: First rehearsal is Tuesday, September 20, 2016. The chorus is open to all children in grades 2-6. All rehearsals are from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. There is a registration and music fee of $28 per child.

REHEARSALS for both choral groups take place at Suzanne M. Henseler Quidnessett Elementary School, 166 Mark Drive, NK. The annual winter concert will be December 3 and 4, 2016.
