North Kingstown DPW Seeking Snow Plow Contractors

Applications are now available for Snow Plowing Contractors for the removal of snow on streets and walkways within the Town of North Kingstown for the upcoming 16/17season. Applications can be picked up and returned to the Highway Division, Department of Public Works, 2050 Davisville Road, North Kingstown, Rhode Island 02852.

NEW: 10% Early Sign-Up Incentive:

Properly completed, original, notarized E-Form and all necessary documentation shall be submitted to and received by DPW as described in the enclosed instruction by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016.

The incentive for each inspected vehicle will remain in effect as long as the vehicle is ready when called. Vendors must reliably and consistently respond to calls for work from the Highway Division of the North Kingstown Department of Public Works in a timely manner throughout the winter season. If at any time the vehicle is not available, it will lose its incentive for the remainder of the winter season. Should there be extraordinary or extenuation circumstances, the vendor shall demonstrate this in correspondence directed to the Highway Superintendent. Decisions made by the Highway Superintendent will be final.

Once all completed forms are returned, Contractors must have each vehicle, or piece of equipment to be used, inspected at the Public Works Facility located at 2050 Davisville Road prior to being called to plow. Business hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Town of North Kingstown will only use Contractors whose paperwork is complete and whose vehicles and equipment have passed inspection.
