North Kingstown Fire: Harrington Road
The cause of the fire was electrical, Chief Scott Kettelle said. A cat died. No people were injured, but the residents need other shelter.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI— Crews were called at 6:15 p.m. Friday to a fire on Harrington Road. According to fire Chief Scott Kettelle, the fire started on the first floor but extended into the walls and the attic of the one and a half story Cape. Firefighters knocked it down in about 20 minutes, but they spent additional time overhauling pockets of fire in the attic.
A cat died in the fire. No people were injured. The house is uninhabitable, due to smoke, fire and heat damage, as of Friday night.
"The cause appears to be electrical," he said.
