North Kingstown Lafayette Band Releases 2019 Summer Schedule

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The Lafayette Band has announced its schedule of free summer concerts in the coming months. There will be seven free concerts this season, starting June 26. The ensemble is lead by Music Director Bethany Clarke Bromley.

All concerts will be held on Wednesday evenings, most at 7 p.m. at the Lafayette Band Stand at the town beach. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.

June 26: 6:30 p.m., North Kingstown Free Library, 100 Boone St., Wickford

July 3: 7 p.m., Independence Day Celebration at Lafayette Band Stand, North Kingstown Town Beach, Beach St., off Rt. 1A. Fireworks at 9 p.m. Rain date for concert & fireworks: Saturday, July 6.

July 10: 7 p.m., St. John the Divine, Church Way, Saunderstown. Ice cream social following concert. Rain location: Church of Ascension, Wakefield.

July 17: 7 p.m., “Children’s Favorites” Concert at Lafayette Band Stand, North Kingstown Town Beach. Rain location: Community Center at Town Beach.

July 24: 7 p.m., Lafayette Band Stand, North Kingstown Town Beach. Joint concert with the North Kingstown Community Chorus and Director Heather Skidds. In case of rain, band will perform at Community Center, Town Beach and the chorus will be postponed to July 31.

July 31: 7 p.m., Lafayette Band Stand, North Kingstown Town Beach. Rain location: Community Center at Town Beach.

August 7: 7 p.m., season finale at Lafayette Band Stand, North Kingstown Town Beach. Rain location: Community Center at Town Beach.
