North Kingstown Motorcycle Crash Leaves Smithfield Man Dead
Police have asked the public for information about what caused the fatal crash between a pickup truck and a motorcycle.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A Smithfield man died in a crash in North Kingstown Sunday involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck, according to police.
North Kingstown police said they were called to the crash site in the 100th block of Lafayette Road just before 5 p.m. Police said the crash involved a green 2020 Harley-Davidson and a gray 2012 Toyota Tacoma.
The man riding the motorcycle was taken to Kent Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police identified him as Bruce Owensby, 60.

Police said there were two people in the pickup truck, and both were not injured and refused medical attention.
